With everything you need on-site, from shops to breakfast, to pool parties, multiple bars and restaurants and even a supermarket, you never need to leave.
You will, however, inevitably want to at some stage and when this moment arrives, the taxi and busses stop right outside. So hop on ya bus and see the rest of the Island, love, the southwest coast is calling your name! Playa D’en Bossa: The main party area of Ibiza is located around Playa D’en Bossa, to the south of Ibiza Town. You will find the bigger beach bars and nightclubs like Bora Bora, Ushuaïa (Ushuaia Ibiza beach club), Hï and Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, and Sankeys. Sant Antoni de Portmany: On the northern west coast, Sant Antoni Bay provides cheaper accommodation for those who have to work around a tighter budget. While still providing great sand beaches (and beach bars) for the day and crazy clubs for the night. Sant Antoni is also the best place to go to catch the iconic Ibiza sunsets at the nearby beaches and sunset strip!
Cala San Vicente: A small inland village with a serious hippie vibe. Cala San Vicente gained popularity in the 60s and 70s with young hippie tourists. While the village isn’t exactle a hub for tourists anymore, the vibe is bohemian and relaxed, home to Punta Arabi hippy market, an Ibizan treasure.
Santa Eulalia or Santa Eulària des Riu: For families, is a much quieter choice with a laid-back atmosphere. There are gorgeous sandy beaches for you to spend the day at, and a large choice of resorts to choose from.

There are also a couple of public transport options nearby. Overall a very nice place to stay, I would take it anytime again.

The city of Sant Antoni de Portmany is located on the North West Coast of the Ibiza Island. Easily accessible by bus or taxi from the airport and the main town, it’s something else. It offers cheaper accommodation than the south of the island and is the perfect spot for backpackers in Ibiza.
Sant Antoni de Portmany is home to a few iconic Ibiza spots such as the Café del Mar. You can listen to chill-out music while having dinner and watching the sunset, or head to Ibiza Rocks… Where some of the craziest pool parties on the island are held.
If (when) you want to relax or recover from a wild night out, Sant Antoni de Portmany offers a really nice stretch of white sand beach. Do not forget to take a refreshing dip in the sea from time to time and stay hydrated!
Abrat Hotel | Best Hotel in Sant Antoni

It’s a great spot for a good beach resort, but don’t expect it to be family-friendly!

Party lovers will not want to miss a day at Ushuaïa, the biggest outdoor club in town. You can chill by the pool, listening to good vibes and, in the evening, some of the biggest DJs in the world come to perform.
Once the day clubs have closed down, time to head to a proper nightclub to dance the night away, Ibiza style. Booking a place in the area will make it so much easier to go back home when you finally want some sleep! The nightlife is 7 nights a week from May to September and is especially lively on Saturdays with Ibiza weekend benders.

This adults only hotel is 500m from the sweeping beach of Playa d’en Bossa and every room has a private balcony and ensuite bathroom. Breakfast can be included in your room if you book this option and the Discobus stops just around the corner.
Hotel Vibra is one of the best hotels for convinence in Playa d’en Bossa, that’s for sure and the location is great. From here you can easily make your way into central Ibiza to see Dalt Vila, the marvelous UNESCO Heritage site. Or, spend the day wallowing in the calm crystal clear waters of the southwest coast and sipping cocktails, the choice is yours.

For decades, the place to hang out and be seen has been Anita’s Bar. It first became popular as it was the only place in the area with a telephone. People also came here to collect their mail, and the wooden mailboxes have been kept until this day.
Just a few minutes away is the Las Dalias hippie market where you can shop for fashion and jewellery from local artists. Handicrafts like paintings and leatherwear can also be found at the market. Las Dalias has a lot of great places to hang out and have a refreshing drink on a hot day.
Hostal Restaurante Pou des Lleo | Best Budget Hotel in Cala San Vicente
There are no hostels here like there are in central Ibiza, but this hotel is relatively cheap for an Ibiza vacation and breakfast is included! It’s much calmer up in the north of the island, and there’s plenty ot see nearby. You could go to the coast and visit the Punta Arabi hippy market or up north to Cala San Vicente for a day trip.

It is Ibiza’s third largest resort area and as such provides lots of accommodation options for everyone. Many resorts are fitted with big swimming pools, some of them boasting slides and play areas for the little ones.
If you want to spend the day outside, the beach is beautiful with white sand and clear waters, take a dip in the Mediterranean. Kids and parents will enjoy building sandcastles and taking a refreshing swim afterwards!
The stunning palm-lined promenade provides the perfect urban oasis and calls for an evening stroll once the heat of the sun has gone away. Many local restaurants can be found around that area, some of them serving the best food you will find in Ibiza.

In my opinion, if you have a partner, Sant Antoni offers all you need – nightlife and romantic beaches. Cala Saladeta is my favorite beach in the area to have a nice stroll.
Where to stay in Ibiza away from clubs?
Head to the north part of the island. Portinatx is a good choice to start your laidback Ibiza journey from there. Beaches like Cala Xuclar are worth visiting here.
Where to stay in Ibiza Old Town?

Final Thoughts On Where To Stay In Ibiza
While Ibiza is a true heaven for those who love a good party, that’s common knowledge. As someone who never wanted to go but went once for work (a yarn for another day) and fell in love with the Island… I can personally vouch for how much more Ibiza offers.
Beautiful beaches and a lot of authentic history is the tip of the iceberga. Some people wonder “where is Ibiza?”, I say book a ticket babe, thank me later. You must visit Cala San Vicente, it’s such a magical place.

If you prefer to stay in hostels, the Amistat Island Hostel Ibiza is a great and friendly place to stay in Sant Antoni. Sant Antoni is a gorgeous town on the west coast, home to the infamous sunset strip, so find a friend and get that picture. Or, just soak up the serenity.
