Texas is freaking HUGE! To drive from the bottom to the top takes about 16 hours. Yes, you’re still in the same state. So, if you’re not from around here and want to explore the beauty of Texas, one of the best ways to do so is by staying in a yurt!

This retro stay in Texas is one of my absolute favorite spots! Located in the alpine desert of Marfa it’s become a popular stop on any West Texas Itinerary. Famous for their teepees and yurts, you can enjoy the wild wild west but with a touch of luxury. Even better, the firepits inside the yurt make even the coldest of nights in the desert all snuggly.
The area is scattered with different unique stays but because of how big the property is, you get plenty of privacy. You can rent bikes to cruise around town or even chill in a wood-fired hot tub for ultimate relaxation. With everything you need for a few days off-grid in Guadalupe Mountains National Park, this yurt is the perfect budget-friendly option. With stunning views of the mountains and surrounding desert, you can enjoy a peaceful retreat without breaking the bank.
The yurt comes equipped with a comfortable queen bed, seating area, and outdoor grill for cooking up some meals under the stars. But don’t expect warm water or cooling/heating. It’s truly off the beaten path. You’ll have clean drinking water provided, but you’ll need to bring your own food and supplies. The yurt is also eco-friendly with a compost toilet and solar-powered lights.

A hill country sunset has never looked as good as from this luxe yurt in Spicewood! Tbh, I think it might even be one of the best Airbnbs in Texas. The interior features a comfortable king-size bed, plush furnishings, and an A/C unit for those hot Lone Star nights. (Thank god!)
