    Beds and Drinks Miami USA
Bed & Drinks is one of our top picks for nightlife in Miami!

One of our favourite things about this party hostel in Miami is the fact that it’s set in a cool Art Deco building – it feels very Miami. Apart from the architecture though, this place is super social.

It’s the kind of place where you can meet people over a game of beer pong, or just over a few drinks in the hostel bar. It’s not a crazy party hostel, but the staff here are pretty good in getting the party started.

It’s also a very clean hostel despite all the antics that go on, so no need to worry about hygiene.

    Where is Beds & Drinks?

Situated just two blocks away from the beach and a three-minute walk from Lincoln Road Mall, it’s easy to get to all the fun nightlife and dining options along Ocean Drive from here. You get to enjoy all the best things that Miami Beach has to offer, and nearby transportation makes it easy to travel further afield.

In terms of room options, Beds & Drinks has the following dorms to choose from:

    • Mixed dorm
    • Female dorm

    Private room options include:

    • Deluxe twin room
    • Standard four bed
    • Deluxe eight bed

Prices start from $15 USD per night.

This is a great place to meet new people

    Any extras?

Despite the name, there’s more to this hostel than drinks and beds. Of course, there are some added benefits that make this one of the most popular hostels in Miami. These include:

    • Communal kitchen
    • 24-hour security
    • Free breakfast
    • Bar
    • Housekeeping
    • Communal lounges
    • Outdoor terrace
    • Free beach towels and umbrellas

They’ve got some cool events going on here too:

    • Beer pong
    • Games nights
    • Daily 5-hour happy hour at the bar
    • Movie nights with popcorn
    • Hot dog parties
    • Nightclub packages
    • Drinks deals
    • Daily tours

This hostel is pretty cool overall. It’s a vibrant spot to let loose, but not somewhere to go completely wild – a good balance, we’d say. It’s also great value for money, thanks to the free breakfast, drinks deals, and location. It’s a solid option, especially if you’re visiting Miami on a budget.

    Generator Miami USA
Generator is a popular hostel-chain worldwide

You pretty much know what you’re getting with the reliable Generator chain, and this amazing branch of the franchise is no different. Generator Miami is set in a 1940s Art Deco building, that’s spread across no less than eight floors.

This large hostel is a trendy social hub – a buzzing sort of place where travellers can enjoy luxury interiors, opt for boutique-quality rooms and laze around the hostels very own pool. It’s all so well done and so stylish throughout that it blows other hostels out the water.

Aside from the party factor, it’s perfect for a weekend getaway in Miami, especially if you’re sensitive to interior design.

    Where is Generator Miami?

As well as being one of the best party hostels in Miami, this branch of Generator has an awesome location. Situated in Downtown Miami with views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Miami Beach canals, you can’t get much better. It’s just a two-minute walk from Miami Beach boardwalk, for example.

This hostel boasts 103 rooms with space enough to sleep 344 guests – pretty big! Let’s start with the dorm options at Generator Miami, which include:

    • Female dorm
    • Mixed dorm

As for the private rooms, you can choose from the following:

    • Double bed
    • Twin room
    • Four bed
    • Superior twin room

Prices start at just $15 per night.

    Generator Miami USA_3

    Any extras?

Being a Generator hostel, this place has a ton of amenities and facilities that make your stay just that much better. It’s decked out more like a hotel than a hostel, so you can expect to have some great perks on offer. These include:

    • Tours/travel desk
    • ATM
    • Air-con
    • Swimming pool
    • Outdoor terrace
    • Communal lounge
    • Bicycle hire (additional fee)
    • 24-hour security

Though there aren’t any organised events, you can easily let loose in the following sophisticated settings:

    • Games room
    • Two bars
    • Indoor restaurant
    • Outdoor restaurant
    • Swimming pool terrace
    • Hip social spaces

This isn’t the kind of party hostel in Miami that’ll be rampant with shots and beer pong. But, it is the sort of place to rub shoulders with your fellow guests, cocktail in hand, shades on, poolside.

    Freehand Party Hostel Miami USA

Another stylish hostel, Freehand is also set in a beautiful Art Deco building. They call it a “hotel for today’s traveller” and, honestly, it really does look more like a hotel. They even keep things classy by calling their dorms “community-style rooms”.

One of the best things about Freehand Miami is its outdoor space. The leafy terrace, strewn with tables and chairs, is awesome, as is the lounger-edged swimming pool. And it’s got not just one, but two craft cocktail bars, as well as a seasonal restaurant.

This is the perfect venue to let your hair down and relax after a day of exploring Miami, or to prepare yourself for a night on the town.

    Where is Freehand Miami?

This perfect party hostel in Miami is just a five-minute walk to Miami Beach itself. But what makes it fantastic for party-lovers is the fact that it’s just a mile from the nightlife of South Beach, where you’ll find some of Miami’s best bars and clubs.

Freehand Miami has some pretty chic room options available. But let’s start with those “community-style rooms”, which include:

    • Female dorm
    • Mixed dorm

There are some amazing hotel-style private rooms to choose from too:

    • Double bed
    • Four bed

Prices start from $25 per night.

    Freehand Miami USA_2
We love the stunning outdoor space at Freehand

    Any extras?

Being the hotel-style hostel that it is, Freehand Miami has amenities and facilities to match its high-class party credentials. Some of the most convenient additions include:

    • Outdoor terrace
    • 24-hour security
    • Bicycle hire
    • Luggage storage
    • Cable TV
    • Swimming pool
    • Communal lounge
    • Vending machines

Events and spaces to party, however, include the following:

    • The Broken Shaker – their award-winning specialty cocktail bar
    • 27 – their “market-driven globally inspired restaurant” and bar
    • Happy hours
    • Tours
    • Drinks deals

Vastly superior to any budget hotel option out there in Miami, this has honestly got to be one of our favourite hostels – possibly ever! It’s like Golden Age Miami is still alive and well, and it’s mercifully affordable too.

Posh South Beach Party Hostel Miami USA
    Pretty swish for a hostel!

Posh South Beach claims to be a “five-star hostel”, and is definitely one of the more lively party hostels in Miami. It’s potentially not as fancy as Generator or Freehand, but it’s still an awesome place to base your Miami adventures.

For starters, it’s adult-only, so you can imagine the shenanigans you’re bound to encounter – especially as there’s a free happy hour that takes place every night. The interiors are kind of strange – it’s like staying in one huge house, but just with loads of other people instead of just you and your mates.

That’s not to say it’s bad. Not at all! If you like monochrome interiors and free-flowing drink, then no doubt you’ll enjoy Posh South Beach. And how could we not mention the amazing rooftop swimming pool?

    Where is Posh South Beach?

Close to all the shopping and dining (and drinking) of Lincoln Road, Posh South Beach is also just a short walk from the historic Art Deco District as well as Ocean Drive – sights nearby include the Versace Museum. It’s one of the best areas to stay in Miami and, of course, the beach is a stone’s throw away.

Ok, so strangely there’s just one big dorm here, no private rooms. Namely that’s the:

    • Standard 54 bed mixed dorm

Prices start from $25 per night.

    Posh South Beach Miami USA_2

    Any extras?

You bet. Guests will have access to the following facilities and general conveniences during their stay at Posh South Beach:

    • Meals available
    • Vending machines
    • Bar
    • Rooftop terrace
    • ATM
    • Swimming pool
    • Guest lounge
    • Security lockers

And there are yet more perks in the form of these events and offers:

    • Free daily happy hour (6 – 7 p.m.)
    • Tours
    • Party buses
    • Discount tickets to nightclubs

Maybe they had you at “free daily happy hour”, or maybe it was that rooftop pool that piqued your interest. Either way, if you can stand being in a 54-bed dorm at full capacity, then you’ll have a lot to enjoy about this pretty chill – yet very sociable – party hostel in Miami.
