When you’re in Southeast Asia, you don’t get much more party-centric than the hedonistic hub of Bangkok. This wonderland of nightlife boasts an array of places to party through the night – from sleek rooftop bars to the crazier Khaosan Road and the infamous neon-lit Nana Plaza.

Many travelers may opt to stay in a party hostel in Bangkok to make the most of this vibrant destination. However there are a lot to choose from, but identifying the best ones can be time-consuming.

I totally get that, which is why I’ve done the hard work for you and created this guide to the best party hostels in Bangkok. I’ve also included our favorite spots to drink, socialize, and drink some more in Thailand’s eclectic capital.

The 5 Best Party Hostels in Bangkok

There are a TON of hostels in Bangkok that you can party in while backpacking Thailand, but some are just a cut above the others. You want somewhere that has the vibes, but also a solid location and cool social activities.

But after a long night out and about, trust and believe you should care if there’s a comfy bed waiting for you! I’ll get into all that and more as we dive into my favorite party hostels in Bangkok:

    1. HOLY SHEET Hostel

    HOLY SHEET Hostel Bangkok
    • Dorm (mixed): From $13
    • Private Room: From $30
    • Address: 1036/17, Sukhumvit Soi 42/1, Phrakanong Klongtoey, Bangkok, Thailand

Touting itself as an “artsy socializing hostel”, Holy Sheet is the kind of place where you can meet new people over a couple of drinks. It might not be the craziest party hostel in Bangkok, but it’s definitely not a sleepy place either.

The staff really help elevate the atmosphere, arranging daily activities and events to help you make the best of your travels in Bangkok. If you’re all about discovering places as a local, not a tourist, then definitely consider this place. They think of themselves as more of an authentic “Bangkok” style of partying, as opposed to Khaosan Road.

Another plus is the 24-hour breakfast here – which is always a good idea!

    Why you’ll love this hostel:

    • Iconic location
    • FREE breakfast!
    • Outdoor terrace

The hostel is situated in the Sukhumvit area, away from the debauchery of Khaosan Road. You’ll have local cafes, bars, and restaurants nearby, as well as street food, shopping malls, and nightclubs. It’s easy to travel to Bangkok’s attractions from here thanks to the Ekkamai skytrain station.

In terms of sleeping arrangements, this hostel has the following dorm options available: Female dorms, mixed dorms, and there are also a couple of private rooms to choose from, too. This Bangkok hostel offers way more than just a bed for the night, with a bunch of amenities included to make your trip more convenient. These include the following:

If you want a sociable space where you can meet fellow travelers and have a good time, Holy Sheet is a good option. It’s not the craziest hostel, but you’ll be sure to have an epic time with all the events on offer.

    2. Mad Monkey Bangkok

    Mad Monkey Party Hostel Bangkok
You can never go wrong with a Mad Monkey hostel!
    • Dorm (mixed): From $31
    • Private Room: From $96
    • Address: 55 Phra Sumen Road, Bangkok, Thailand

One of many Mad Monkeys throughout Southeast Asia, this really is one of the coolest hostels in Bangkok. It’s decked out with all the best elements you’d expect – starting with a raucous bar and a buzzing pool area.

Like all great party hostels, the staff are the chief instigators and help get the nightly parties off to a good start. It’s definitely not the place to go if you need a solid night’s sleep.

This adults-only hostel in Bangkok also comes with its very own restaurant. So, if you don’t have the energy to find some street food the next morning, all you have to do is roll out of bed and get yourself to a table.

    Why you’ll love this hostel:

    • Outdoor swimming pool
    • Bar and restaurant
    • Outlets and lights in every dorm bed!

Just off of Khaosan Road itself, Mad Monkey Bangkok is close to plenty of backpacker-friendly bars, restaurants, and clubs. It’s also easy to get to the airport from here, thanks to good bus and train connections close by.

You’ll get to choose from the following dorms at Mad Monkey Female dors, Mixed dorms and various (more expensive) private room options.

Mad Monkey certainly does come with a number of perks that help make it one of the best party hostels going in Bangkok, like epic pool parties, bar crawls, drink deals and some SICK parties. Do note that this place attracts some real party animals, so I’d recommend only booking if partying is what’s on your mind.

    3. Revolution Khao San

    Revolution Khao San Bangkok
    • Dorm (mixed): From $11
    • Private Room: From $40
    • Address: 81 Trok Mayom, Talat Yot, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok, Thailand

This superbly rated Bangkok party hostel is in my top 5 for a reason – the vibes are just about unmatched! Especially if you’re seeking a super social atmosphere, you really can’t go wrong with Revolution while staying in Bangkok. And if you’re in need of some peace and quiet after a night out, the chaos of Khao San Road can’t be heard from the hostel.

    Why you’ll love this hostel:

    • Bucket Olympics + pub quizzes
    • Boating and tubing trips
    • Right next to Khao San Road!

The hostel is clean (yes even the bathrooms), and the vibes were always on point during my stay! Along with the cheapest drinks in the area, which is a perk you want to take advantage of before out heading out on a pub crawl. In the hostel itself, you’ll find a few different room options. From cheap AF 16-bed mixed dorms to private ensuites for traveling couples (or bougie backpackers), all types of partying travelers will love Revolution.

The craziest part is even they even serve free dinner which means more of your daily budget can be spent at the bar. The staff were awesome and always around to help – you really can’t go wrong.

    4. Khao San Social Capsule Hostel

Khao San Social Capsule Hostel Bangkok
    • Dorm (mixed): From $30
    • Private Room: From $44
    • Address: 147/14 Thanon Tani Talad Yod Phra Nakhorn, Bangkok, Thailand

I LOVE this hostel so much that it’s become a go-to while passing through Bangkok. Situated above a cool little cafe and bar, you’ll find an epic capsule hostel filled with modern and amenity-filled sleeping spaces. An outdoor rooftop terrace and other common spaces are perfect for meeting other travelers. There are no private rooms here – so the communal areas are used by everyone!

    Why you’ll love this hostel:

    • Daily activities
    • Amazing location!
    • Comfy and private dorm beds

I love how the beds feel so cozy and have everything I need – a curtain, charging sockets, and a reading lamp. You really forget you’re in a huge dorm room – the awesome staff also keep the bathroom super clean. They have daily events that make it easy to meet other solo travelers – definitely poop in for a pub crawl on Khao San! There’s also a 7/11 right next door which trust and believe will be a lifesaver after a wild night out!

    5. Back Home Backpackers

    Back Home Backpackers Bangkok
    • Dorm (mixed): From $11
    • Private Room: From $37
    • Address: 72/1 Samsen Rd.(soi 2), Banglampoo, Pranakorn, Bangkok, Thailand

Located on a quiet street that’s only five minutes away from the madness of Khao San, Back Home Backpackers has so many stellar reviews for a reason – it’s everything you need from a party (or any) hostel in Bangkok.

The cozy neighborhood has a cool outdoor seating area, and is next to essentials like 7-11 and other local restaurants.

    Why you’ll love this hostel:

    • Amazing location
    • A bit chiller
    • Super comfy beds

What makes this hostel stand out is that it’s a bit chiller than some of the other party hostels in the city, but still is perfect for accessing (and pregaming for) the debauchery down the road. You’ll also be about a 30-minute walk away from some of the best Bangkok temples and street eats!

It also has a lot more private rooms than most hostels, which is perfect if you want just a bit more privacy but still love a good hostel stay. Of course, mixed and female-only dorms are also available for just above $10 USD.
