In the world of outdoor adventures and travel, the gear you choose can make all the difference. The thing is, a lot of travel and outdoor gear is pretty crappy and it can be very hard for the inexperienced traveller to know what’s what. That is why choosing a reputable brand is a decent starting point.
I mean, we’ve all been there. Marching through the driving rain for hours on end with a backpack that digs into your shoulders, has pieces flapping in the wind and leaves your gear a soggy mess! That mi amigos, is no bueno.
Among the myriad options available, Gregory stands out for its commitment to quality, innovation at a very reasonable price range. From fanny packs for your essentials, to laptop bags ready for the commute and backpacks intended to travel the world with, you can be sure Gregory covers it all.
In this guide, I dive deep into the Gregory universe, exploring the best of what this iconic brand has to offer when it comes to bags, backpacks and packing gear.

Its organised compartments and laptop sleeve make it an excellent choice for business trips or weekend getaways when you want to travel with a carry-on backpack only.
Although we have focused on the 40L version, there is also a 30L available. However, for me, 30L just does not take full advantage of the carry-on limits.

- Limited external attachment points.
Gregory Deva 80
The Gregory Deva 80 is tailored for the female adventurer embarking on extended trips. With a focus on carrying heavier loads in comfort, the Deva 80 features an advanced suspension system and a customizable fit.
Of course, the 80L version of the Deva is a bit of a beast of a brute of a behemoth of a backpack, but mercifully there are also 60L and 70L versions on offer too. If you’re interested then check out my in-depth Gregory Deva 60l backpack.
