Edging on the periphery of the Philippines’ largest city, Tagaytay is one of the most famous places to visit for a quick getaway from Manila.

Since it’s under a two-hour drive, it’s most popular with local tourists who visit on weekends or over summer holidays for the cool weather and epic volcanic views… or you know, just to escape the MADNESS that is Metro Manila!

The city is enveloped in leafy foliage that makes it feel worlds away from Manila. Visitors come for the scenic views and cool weather but stay for the food, nature, tranquility, and unique rentals in Tagaytay.

If you’re down for a relaxing holiday to Tagaytay, booking an Airbnb here is the way to go. Not only will you be able to experience top-class digs, but you’ll also get a chance to mingle with residents and experience the local lifestyle firsthand.

I’ve compiled the BEST Airbnbs in Tagaytay – from apartments and condos to villas, houses, and even farm stays, I’ve got you covered

What to Expect from Airbnbs in Tagaytay

If you’ve been backpacking around The Philippines, you may just be a little sick of staying in hostels. So, why not treat yourself to one of these awesome places to stay?

Ranging from self-contained cottages to farmhouses surrounded by tropical gardens to modern family homes and villas, the range of options in Tagaytay is endless. Most Airbnbs here are of an exceptionally high standard.

From interior designs to organizational layout to the amenities offered, these Airbnbs are some of the best places to stay in the Philippines.

Whether you choose a self-contained holiday home or a studio apartment, one thing you can expect from most Airbnbs are beautiful views. Many properties have balconies or terraces that gaze across the landscape down to the Taal Volcano and Lake.

My favourite aspect of any Airbnb is the well-equipped kitchens. These homes all have a kitchen or kitchenette with high-end appliances and utensils that make it possible to create your favourite home-cooked meals, no matter how far away from home you are.

It’s also common for Airbnbs here to include an outdoor living space with a dining area and BBQ grill. The more luxurious properties might even have a private pool and gazebo with a second outdoor kitchen. Dreaaamy!

Overall, staying in an Airbnb in Tagaytay is bound to offer you a more local and personalized experience when compared with a traditional hotel or hostel you might have become accustomed to whilst backpacking around Southeast Asia.

The 15 Top Airbnbs in Tagaytay

Whether you’re down to crash in Tagaytay for a while, or just taking a short visit from Manila – there are loads of options. For your own slice of private heaven in Tagaytay, do yourself a favour and check out these fifteen great Airbnbs:

Rustic Luxurious Chalet With Lake Views | Overall Best Value Airbnb in Tagaytay

Rustic Luxurious Chalet With Lake Views in Tagaytay

Bring along your best travel camera because this rustic home is as Instagram-worthy as it gets. Whether this chalet was on a tropical island or in Manhattan, it would still make my list. It’s absolutely draw-dropping, especially if rustic chic interiors are your vibe.

Huge windows overlooking Taal Lake, a deck hanging in the jungle, and a farm-style kitchen that looks like it belongs on the front page of a Tuscan interior design magazine are just a taste of what you can expect from this three-bedroom chalet.

Affordable One-Bed Apartment with Pool Facilities | Best Budget Airbnb in Tagaytay

Affordable One-Bed Apartment with Pool Facilities in Tagaytay

It’s not every day you can find a gorgeous private apartment that can be rented for about the same price as lunch in the USA. But this is one of those days… I would never expect this to be so darn affordable. This Tagaytay Airbnb is designed with wooden walls, warm lighting, and built-in floating shelving and cabinetry to make the most of the space.

Even within such a small space, the bedroom is separate from the living space. So if you’re an early riser, you won’t have to wake up your travel partner to make your morning coffee. It’s a banger of a spot for those travelling on a budget.

Four-Bed Farmhouse with Pool and Outdoor Lapa | Over-The-Top Luxury Airbnb in Tagaytay

Four-Bed Farmhouse with Pool and Outdoor Lapa in Tagaytay

Ask me any day of the week, and I will tell you I could live in this home. Jokes aside, it isn’t just beautifully designed and decorated, but it also has all the amenities you could dream of during your stay in Tagaytay.

Take, for example, the stunning yard with a pool, covered terrace, and a fully equipped outdoor second kitchen. With four bedrooms, Amberfields Farmhouse is suitable for fifteen guests, but the owners cap the maximum number of guests at 30 per night. They offer all sorts of wedding event packages, perfect for an intimate celebration.

Homey One-Bed Apartment with Balcony | Perfect Tagaytay Airbnb for Solo Travelers

Homey One-Bed Apartment with Balcony Tagaytay

Instead of sharing a dorm with strangers, you could rent this comfortable one-bedroom apartment in the heart of Tagaytay for a similar low price per night. Sound too good to be true? Well, it isn’t. The city itself is a great place to visit in the Philippines for solo travellers, so you’ll have no problems fitting in here.

This cosy apartment has a basic kitchenette, an ensuite bathroom with a shower, and a spacious living area with a convertible sofa bed. It’s prepared with fresh linens and towels and even has a balcony with garden views. You can also access the property’s swimming pool as a part of this rental in Tagaytay.

Tranquil Cabin with Bathtub and Resort Facilities | Perfect Short-Term Airbnb for Digital Nomads

Tranquil Cabin with Bathtub and Resort Facilities in Tagaytay

While I have this tagged as one of the best Airbnbs in Tagaytay for digital nomads, it could easily have made the list as the ‘most romantic’ or ‘great for solo travellers’, too. The self-contained cabin is designed with a local Filipino style, with big windows that open across the Tagaytay Mountain Ridge.

It has a simple kitchenette to prepare at-home meals, a bathroom with a large tub, and a private deck where you can soak up some sunshine. The entire space is surrounded by a garden of tropical plants and succulents.

Becoming a digital nomad changes how you travel, you need to find places with a few extra things – yes, I’m talking speedy wifi and a comfy place to work. And this place has you, nomads, covered.

Travel with peace of mind. Travel WITH a security belt.

Stash your cash safely with this money belt. It will keep your valuables safely concealed, no matter where you go.

It looks exactly like a normal belt except for a SECRET interior pocket perfectly designed to hide a wad of cash, a passport photocopy or anything else you may wish to hide. Never get caught with your pants down again! (Unless you want to…)

More Epic Airbnbs in Tagaytay

Here are a few more of my favourite Airbnbs in Tagaytay!

Haven’t found what you’re looking for yet? Don’t worry. Hopefully, you’ll find a great Airbnb in the list below:

Cozy Two-Bed A-Frame Cabin in North Silang

Cozy Two-Bed A-Frame Cabin in North Silang in Tagaytay

I don’t know what it is about an A-frame house design, but staying in one immediately puts me in holiday mode. And this home is no different. It’s surrounded by landscaped gardens with colourful tropical greenery and stone paths.

The open-concept living space has a fully equipped kitchen with high-end Smeg appliances (fancy, I know) and a dining table for six. Then there are the bedrooms. Three suites with air conditioning, comfy bedding, and homey decor touches, including houseplants, candles, and carpets.

The tropical theme carries through to the bathrooms, with greenery contrasting against the wooden and marble tiled walls.

Architecturally Impressive Three-Bed Villa with Private Pool

Architecturally Impressive Three-Bed Villa with Private Pool in Tagaytay

Perfect for families or groups of friends travelling together, this stunning Airbnb in Tagaytay has three bedrooms and all the necessities for a great group getaway. And by this, I mean the huge private pool, outdoor dining table for twelve, and a location close to the best restaurants and shops in the city.

There are three air-conditioned bedrooms that comfortably fit twelve but can accommodate 20 maximum. Best of all, this home has a games room with a Playstation and its very own half-sized basketball court. Yup, you heard that right!

Compact Condo with Balcony and Lake View

Compact Condo with Balcony and Lake View Tagaytay

If you can’t decide whether to stay in a reliable yet standard hotel or a unique and exciting Airbnb, this compact studio is the perfect medium. It’s located in a high-rise building that towers over the city. And you know what that means – epic views!

Start your day with a home-cooked breakfast on the balcony before heading to the swimming pool to get some laps in. After this, you’ll be ready to take on a day in Tagaytay. It’s an ideal spot to stay if you’re travelling as a couple.

Stylish Two-Bed Home

Stylish Two-Bed Home in Tagaytay

I don’t blame you if you want to bring your dog to Tagaytay. Experiencing the endless hills and lake shores without them could be considered an atrocity. Well, this pet-friendly home agrees. With a bright and spacious open-concept living area, this rental in Tagaytay is perfect for a group of six guests (plus dogs).

It has a balcony and a backyard with a games room and a garage for one car. The kitchen is equipped but pretty simple, it’s instead ideal for preparing and heating up ready-made meals but not super convenient for cooking for a big group.

Luxury Four-Bed Villa with Double-Height Ceilings

Luxury Four-Bed Villa with Double-Height Ceilings in Tagaytay

Discover the magic of Tagaytay in this luxurious mansion-esque villa with an oversized terrace and private pool. The interiors are enough to make me want to move in for good. Picture double-height vaulted wooden ceilings, huge glass walls, hanging lighting fixtures, and marble floors.

It’s spacious and sunny, with plenty of windows and doors allowing fresh air and sunlight to flow throughout. The bedrooms are just as stylish, with wooden doors and furniture, lush house plants, and ratan lighting pulling it all together. It’s the epitome of simple, tropical beauty.

The Red Cabin with Swimming Pool

The Red Cabin with Swimming Pool in Tagaytay

Even though this cabin is set outside the centre of Tagaytay, it deserves a spot on this list. In fact, it’s so unique that it’s one of my favourites. Located at the end of a garden path, surrounded by a lush lawn, this red home looks like the cow barn in your favourite Hollywood movie.

It’s quaint, simple, and beautifully maintained, with a gorgeous kitchen with wooden countertops, a dining room with mismatched chairs, and big sliding barn doors. At the back of this Tagaytay Airbnb, there is a private swimming pool and al fresco dining area.

Three Bed Home with Pool and Garden

Three Bed Home with Pool and Garden in Tagaytay

Have you ever checked into an Airbnb where you immediately feel at home? Located just a short drive from Tagaytay, this home is a private sanctuary like no other. With four bedrooms and a gorgeous open-plan living space that stretches out into the pool area, it’s ideally suited for families, groups of friends, or even events.

The home has a well-maintained garden, with topiarised bushes and tropical plants. The interior is uniquely decorated with funky modern furnishings and abstract artwork. Contact the owners to find out about their wedding offerings.

Stylish Apartment with Balcony

Stylish Apartment with Balcony in Tagaytay

With a unique blend of Scandinavian and Japanese interiors, this is easily one of the funkiest Airbnbs on this list. It’s designed with wooden walls, tiled floors, and Japanese tatami-style door dividers. The emerald green kitchen is my favourite room, with all the essentials you might need to prepare your favourite meal.

It’s located on the eastern edge of Tagaytay, surrounded by pines and greenery. Note that there is a limited phone signal here – I love the thought of being offline here, but some might not, especially not those rocking the digital nomad lifestyle.

Industrial Loft with Workspace and Private Onsen

Industrial Loft with Workspace and Private Onsen in Tagaytay

If it were up to me, an outdoor living space would be mandatory in all homes along the equator. There is just no better way to unwind than under your very own lanai, and luckily, this Airbnb in Tagaytay has a shared outdoor space with multiple dining and BBQ areas.

The chic loft in North Tagaytay is designed with concrete walls, wooden furniture, and touches of glass. It’s eclectic yet industrial, with a raw feel that puts it in a design league of its own. The highlight of this space is the bathroom, which has a deep-set mosaiced shower that doubles as a bath (or onsen).

The loft is in Amadeo, also known as the Coffee Capital of the Philippines. Try out Amadeo Artisano Coffee… it’s so good.

Spacious Three Bedroom House Overlooking the Lake

Spacious Three Bedroom House Overlooking the Lake in Tagaytay

And to top things off with one final group—or family-friendly Airbnb in Tagaytay, we have a spacious three-bedroom home. It’s a little bit of a distance from the city’s centre, but the exquisite views of Taal Lake and the volcano quickly make up for it.

With more windows than walls, the central living space is overflowing with natural light and fresh airflow. There is plenty of space to lounge about, a full kitchen with a central island, and a ten-seater dining table to gather around at mealtime.

I mean sure, it’s not exactly the hotspot for diving in the Philippines, but I’ve given you a damn lake and volcano here!
